We'll, the regulars don't seem to be interested in "Joe's sighting", so I
guess he'll let it drop in the newsgroups and concentrate on all the "UFO
researchers" out on the web. Might be interesting to see how many UFO web
pages it appears on.

Sighting news of Joe's UFO

Joe's report is now posted on Filer's Files, a compendium of
sightings from all over, and has been included in his weekly
newsletter.

This weekly newsletter has also been posted to the UFO Updates
List

Filer's files are at http://www.filersfiles.com.

Surpise, Surprise! You expect them to actually _talk_ about
UFOs in UFO newsgroups? The FTB regulars are too caught up in
the ego trips of Frager and Flaggy, and whining about Skepti-
Bunkers.

LAWTON -- Bill Hickman writes he received a report from the
witness who on March 3, 2002, stated, "I took a photo on the
west edge of Lawton just minutes ago. I was returning from some
late night shopping at the local Wal-Mart and noticed these
objects in the distance moving around the sky rather
erratically. When I got closer to home I realized these objects
were moving in my direction so when I got home I ran inside and
grabbed my digital camera. I ran back outside, and snapped only
one picture before they sped out of sight. MUFON's Dr. Bruce
MacCabee is looking at the photo now and we should have a
preliminary report soon. Thanks to Bill Hickman, MUFON
Investigator and author of the Hickman Report.

I even got some feedback from the superkook known as "Flaggy".

Chech out the part where he says:

"I have captured things myself from time to time,
though if I feel its something that skeptics can or may be able to try to
explain away, I usually keep it to myself and I share it with my friends
to see what they say about it. This way its harder for the skeptics to
get a "one up" on you."

In regards to your photograph (Submited March-11-2001)

NOTE: The materials presented below are only pre-conclusions about
the materials presented. They do not necessarily reflect what conclusions
I may draw-up in the future if I plan to perform more in-depth studies of
these images.

Looking at the above two photographs you can see how each of the objects
seem to be close to exact replicas of each other and that they all have about
equal light intensity in the sky. I also have trouble seeking any sky normality
such as stars and clouds, etc faintly in the background. These do somewhat
resemble rods, however they are greenish in color. Most UFOs are pictured
as simple balls of light and thus its hard to make out much detail. The formation
of the objects being in a straight row is also somewhat puzzling as it is common for
them when in groups to form triangle like shapes in the sky such as with the
famous Nevada UFO sightings which occurred several years ago, however
they were whitish in appearance. It is of course not unusual for people to report
them lined up perpicandicular to eachother. In your picture the objects seem to
have tails which would also be fairly rare in a traditional UFO photograph. A
skeptic would probably jump to criticize the photo because of all the objects
seeming to have equal appearance and intensity and its also hard to make out
any sky normality. The color intensity seems to be a little high for it to be
a regular snapshot of lights in the sky and they seem to be a little too well
defined. Usualy when someone takes a picture at night its hard to make out
anything and colors of distant lights appear to take on a blandish apperence.
They also twinkle in intensity due to the fact that the flow of light from them
is distorted by the atmosphere.

This one also has one of those rod-like objects and also has a close to
exact appearance when compared to the other snippets above. What's
funny however is that the formation here seems to resemble a smiley
face if you look at it the right way.

This does seem somewhat interesting, if you notice, you see within the
red trail another one of those rod like objects but this time it takes on a
yellowish appearance. What seems strange is that I am doubting that the
redness is a firetrail because of its shape. If you notice the blackness
within the object, it gives it a cloudy like appearance. Of course it does
leave you to wonder. There is also a small red orb like object which is
barly visible near the lower left corner of this photograph. If the photograph
was taken on sight and was not edited in any way (only you may know
that for sure) then I do believe that this may be something interesting
as proof for yourself of the possibility of alien visitation. However, the
way skeptics behave these days its doubtful unfortunately that they
would see this as an actual photograph. I would probably take this as
proof for yourself personally that what you have seen was indeed
something interesting. I have captured things myself from time to time,
though if I feel its something that skeptics can or may be able to try to
explain away, I usually keep it to myself and I share it with my friends
to see what they say about it. This way its harder for the skeptics to
get a "one up" on you.

You may want to return to that location from time to time with a video
camera, if the objects do return with such clarity and visibility, then
its likely to be much harder for skeptics to be able to explain away.

Thanks for your input, it's greatly appreciated.  I think I know what you mean about the skeptics.  I made the mistake of posting this to the UFO newsgroups and got told by some guy called Robert ASF that they were airplane flares, and that I should ask the neighbors if they found any flares in their yards.  Then some guy called Carl Wilson said that I might also want to look for empty LIQUOR bottles in MY yard!

You know what is scary is that this is almost a correct assertion, you
cannot see the sky, stars etc. Why not? It is right in front of his face and
he misses it... Now that is sad

For some reason known only to flaggy, he has me on his hit list. I cannot
even remember having a conversation with him, let alone piss him off. I
bring this up cause i am sure it will give Joe instant credibility in the
flaggers eyes :-)

Yup. A skeptic would and should criticize the photo for just those reasons
if nothing else.

BTW, I noticed on the newsgroups you are posting both as Robert ASF and as
Robert Fortin. Since you don't usually use your last name I didn't know if
you were doing so on purpose or by accident.

Actually, I was provided with some links from another poster and did some
digging around myself. Apparently the site isn't a parody after all! Now
THAT'S scary!
