Subject: Stirring up the kooks!

You might have noticed a picture uploaded to alt.binaries.ufo.files with the
subject of "Strange objects sighted west of Lawton, Oklahoma 3/11/02"

We'll, the strange objects are my optical mouse and the LEDs on my computer
and keyboard. :-)

No one seemed to bite in the newsgroups, but I've got them going in a Yahoo
group called "The Hickman Report" at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheHickmanReport/

I've been getting comments like "This is an extraordinary photo" and "I have
never seen anything quite like your photo, it is remarkable" Check it out
if you want a few laughs!

	LED?

Your so mean... Now since this is your joke, may i make a
suggestion? Forget you ever made the photo. Let it circle around the ufo
circuit for a time. See just how many people buy into it. If you are lucky
it will become a cause for them to prove it is true. People like Twonky
will jump on the band wagon etc and soon they will be yelling that of
course it is a real UFO...

	Yes it funny!

Just Thought I Should Mention It

That's the plan. :-) See how far it goes and see if they even take the
time to try and determine that it's a fake.

I'll forward some of the emails I've been getting to this group as well for
extra laughs. ;-)

I predict that if you don't burst the bubble, it'll wind up
on other web sites and maybe even a book cover eventually.

That should be good. I predict a distinct lack of skepticism
in them.

I can't wait for Maccabee's analysis. This ought to test his
skills a bit...

Meanwhile, not a word to anyone else! Like Mike said, this is
good enough to make a book jacket some day!

OK, I'll open the bidding by claiming

1) that the
images we see have been "stretched" y camera motion
lower left toward upper right like this illustrated by the SLOPE of the
*****'s
                                           *
                             *
               *
*

Draw a line through the ***'s and that line is approximately the slope of
the motion of
the camera

2) most of the shutter time was spent creating the brighter images
(brighter dots) at the
lower left of each little streak.

3) the red image was broadened by the image smear

(Note: the blurring or smear assumed to be due to camera motion could also
be a
result of object motion, or both, but it object motion it was moving VERY
fast. I suspect
it was camera motion, unless the witness claims to have used a tripod)

I presume the original is a digital photo .... or did he get it developed
at a 1 hour photo place?

I just sent out his "preliminary report" attached to an email to this group.

I kinda screwed up a minute ago. A "UFO investigator" sent me the following

Well, I resent the jpg file and then realized that I had sent it from my
carl_w@s... account instead of my fake Hotmail "JoeW" one! Arrrgh!
But I think I covered myself by sending the following email from "JoeW"

Agreed, but did you notice the guy in alt.binaries.ufo.files (Jeet) that
said:

>know's ha? If anyone know's please tell.....

If he only knew how right he was!

Web sites for sure. Book covers are a distinct possibility. In fact Jim
Hickman mentioned something about an upcoming book of his. Maybe it will
appear on the cover of his book?
