I just sent out his "preliminary report" attached to an email to this group.
I kinda screwed up a minute ago. A "UFO investigator" sent me the following
message:

Well, I resent the jpg file and then realized that I had sent it from my
carl_w@s... account instead of my fake Hotmail "JoeW" one! Arrrgh!
But I think I covered myself by sending the following email from "JoeW"

Agreed, but did you notice the guy in alt.binaries.ufo.files (Jeet) that
said:

If he only knew how right he was!

Web sites for sure. Book covers are a distinct possibility. In fact Jim
Hickman mentioned something about an upcoming book of his. Maybe it will
appear on the cover of his book?

I have a whole web page just of Western Oklahoma sightings from the last few years at: http://pages.prodigy.net/thr-ok/oklahoma_sightings.htm I have researched and found reports going back to the 1890's from around here. We call the area up here by Elk City "Oklahoma's area 51" because we get so many "visitors" here. I'm investigating a case that happened a few weeks ago in Merritt, Oklahoma, that involved a OHP trooper and 5 eyewitness's who saw something as big as a barn fly overhead.
If you have time, could you fill out one more form for me? print this page: http://www.thehickmanreport.com/sighting.html
Fill it out and mail it to me at,
Jim Hickman MUFON Research Specialist for Media Operations PO Box 2154 Elk City, Ok. 73648
I will of course keep your name confidential...
Thanks!
Jim

There's really not much more to add. I only got to see them up close for a very short period of time. I don't know if anyone else saw them at the wee hours of the morning when this happened, but it sure had all the dogs in the neighborhood barking for awhile! I just wish I had been able to get more than one picture. I just got the digital camera a few days ago and am not real familar with it yet.

Have there been many sightings in this area? I'm not native to this area and have only been living here for a few years.

This is an extraordinary photo. Was the movement in the photo due to you moving the camera, or the objects moving themselves?

I wouldn't worry. The Roswell disk looked a lot like a radar
reflector, but I notice that hasn't stopped many FTBs.

Ok Carl... uh, sorry, I meant "Joe"
You is getting noticed! Big time.
If you are going to really push this, Joe is going to need a
credible "identity". Need any help from the crowd? Might I
suggest a 25 year old part-time worker living with his Aunt- who
has a different last name. That way, you can "hide" Joe's
existance in Lawton by not having a phone isting. The
"researchers" may try to look you up, so you might need an
excuse.
Is "Joe" going to have a last name? If you haven't come up with
one yet, may I suggest "Willy". That way you can tell them that
your wife (or sister, or aunt) is Mary Jo Willy.
Somehow, I doubt that the FTBs you are dealing with would know
Earl, but the chance to use this as an "inside joke" here is too
good to pass up.
